"...there comes a time in our life to shift the balance to where it deserves - a season for renewal and for letting things go." I'm glad you found your unique way of diluting some "work passion." More types of tea are waiting for you to discover!
And obviously, you know more about the 24 solar terms than I do :)
Chuang Tzu has a beautiful saying: "True beauty lies in lasting endurance「美成在久」." Whether it is building a project, being great at something, or developing a relationship, it's really a long-term thing. I, too, had the problem of being obsessed with outcomes. So, it's such a long journey to learn to slow down.
Thanks for sharing your reflections and for the beautiful saying by Chuang Tzu! Indeed the life journey is a marathon, a lifelong balancing of sprinting and retreating. “Entering the world” and “leaving the world” as mentioned in Lin YuTang’s My Country My People - an interesting read suggested by you. 🤍
So much to unpack from Lin Yu Tang’s book. Probably I will integrate in my future writings or share a few reflections with you on how it resonated with me. He also made reference to parenting among other things! Humorous and with depth. Definitely need to re read as it’s not a book to read in one sitting. 😊

Glad you find it an interesting read! I will revisit some chapters.

I'd love to read your thoughts on the book. It's one of my favorites. Subtle, humorous, comprehensive, and nostalgic.
Will do! Trying to digest what resonates most as he covered so many strands in there. A fabulous recommendation - thank you. 😊
Glad you like it!!
