Thank you for sharing your experience of life and illness and slowing down, Peck. It is a very important topic and one I have written about in relation to work stress and recovery from severe burnout. Very well written! 🌱
Thanks so much, Baird! Magic lives in slowing down. I'd love to read your writings from your recovery journey - I'm so glad you spoke out. It takes courage.
Rachel, Many thanks for reading and I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I recommend tea ceremonies of different kinds. In Malaysia, we have our teh tarik which is meditatively mesmerizing and the less-formal version of Gong Fu Cha Chinese tea "ceremony" which is beautiful in itself. ;)
😂 True and ultimately, meditation is about acceptance. The quiet and the loud. The stillness and the movement. On our cushions and beyond. It blends into whatever gets thrown into our lives.
So deeply resonant and beautiful. Thank you 🙏🏽
Thanks so much for your warm note, Justyna. So glad it resonated!

My writing about burnout is more from a professional than personal perspective. For example:

I love thus!!!
This!
Thanks a lot, Leanne! Please know that your encouragements all along mean a lot. Hopefully my other unpublished drafts will see the light of the day.
They will!!!
Love the piece at Musubi. I have yet to try out a tea ceremony but thanks for the reminder on the beauty of consistent mediation.

It tickles me to compare it to the Teh Tarik; I agree that it's mesmerizing, but the fun factor may distract me from meditation.
