It has been an eventful last week with unexpected surprises.
I accidentally went into the men’s shower room twice (don’t ask me how). On a separate occasion, I saw a guy bumped his head as he flipped over his bike. A few days later, I received multiple alerts from our kid’s childcare for a fire incident close by which warranted 26 fire trucks!
This month, I would have been in Laos and Malaysia for two major regional work events. Bittersweet to miss them but I am lucky to be able to chose to detour. So here I am in Kyoto, getting ready for our upcoming move with my family.
My stress level is higher than normal trying to survive packing with kids around. But it was nice to set aside some fun outdoor time with them yesterday albeit the scorching heat.
Just this morning, I took a long brisk walk from 5 am to meditate at a Zen temple. My calm vibe is back and I am now ready to roll. Still too many boxes awaiting to be packed despite my recent attempt to sort and discard stuff - small and big accumulated over the years.
Remembering moments
This week, we are moving out of the Nijo-jo Castle area. A neighborhood I am lucky to have called home for almost two years now.
To celebrate, I wanted to share my favorite snapshots of this beautiful Castle taken over the years.
